Department: Accounting
Position(s): Accounts Receivable/Accounting Clerk
Summary of Duties: Reports to Accounting Manager. The primary
responsibility are to maintain all company Accounts Receivables
with the exception of those generated through the Hotel and to
provide assistance to the payroll clerk in processing weekly payroll.
The AR/AC will learn the basic functions of Accounts Payable,
Payroll and Purchasing in the event of personnel absence. AR/AC
will work as a team member of the Accounting staff and maintain
a high level of confidentiality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Handle all Accounts Receivable duties.
- Responsible for processing and mailing monthly statements and
handling customer inquires.
• Assist payroll clerk with weekly payroll duties and fill
in for same in their absence.
- Enter time sheets.
- Review time sheet edit list
- Print time sheets.
• Recap travel advanced for all Casino travel
- Verify accuracy of dollars advanced.
- Insure proper travel documentation is provided.
- Report over advancements or shortages to proper department.
• Process Accounts Payable checks in absence of Accounts
Payable Clerk
• Fills in for Purchasing Agent (during absence of incumbent.)
• Maintain accounting Department employee files.
• Maintain list of Prize Winners for 1099’s preparation.
• Maintains Inventory List
- Records Purchases, Disposals, and Trade-ins of all Casino &
Resort equipment.
• Other accounting duties as assigned by accounting manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Two Year degree in accounting..
• Previous accounting experience..
• Must consent to a background check in order to qualify
for a gaming license..
• Must pass random drug testing.
• Requires dependable, mature individual.
• Must have excellent typing skills with accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Relationships to Other Departments: Reports
to Accounting Manager.
Employment Status: Full-time, permanent. Full benefit
package, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Personal Time Off,
401 K Plan. Native American Preference applies.
