Department: Hotel - Guest Services
Position(s): Room Service Attendant
Summary of Duties: Receiving, recording, ordering and delivering
Room Service items efficiently and expeditiously. Assisting servers
in Fine Dining Restaurant as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• To ensure all guests receive friendly, courteous and prompt
service at all times following prescribed and established Room Service
procedures.
• Maintains in depth knowledge of complete menu and beverages
on hand. Up-sells menu items and beverages accordingly.
• Will handle any cash/credit card/in-house transactions in
accordance with specific guidelines.
• Ensures that the required uniform is kept clean, neatly
pressed and in good repair. Arrives ready to start work properly
attired; full uniform and appropriate foot wear.
• To conduct one’s self in accordance with the goals,
culture, service standards and fundamental values of the Spirit
Lake Casino and Resort.
• To maintain a clean working environment, where sanitation,
health and safety standards are never compromised.
• Will ensure all side duties are fully completed prior to
the end of the shift as outlined and in readiness for the next meal
period.
• To clean Room Service carts following established protocol
after each meal period and reset for the following one.
• Must be able to work days, nights and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School or G.E.D. is required.
• Excellent guest relations, communications skills and pleasant
personality is a must.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Have an energetic personality.
• Must have excellent grooming standards
• Must be able to lift in excess of 25 pounds.
Relationships to Other Departments: Reports directly
to the Executive Hostess and or the Fine Dining Hostess.
Employment Status: Full-time, permanent, hourly
position. Includes full benefits, health insurance, life insurance,
401 K plan and personal time off. Native American preference applies.
